WHAT ARE YOUR PASSIONS OTHER THAN ART?
Two boys and two dogs.
IS ART SOMETHING YOU HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN FROM A YOUNG AGE? WHEN DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN IT?
Drawing since toddler, started painting in oils at age 11.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE OF ART?
Born dreaming about it.
IS THIS YOUR FULL TIME JOB? WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE ART?
HOW DID YOU GET INSPIRATIONS FOR NEW PIECES?
From the ocean, people, and cities mainly, but often other outside moment/events can launch me into expression as well.
WHAT PROCESS GOES INTO CREATING A NEW PIECE?
I devise a compositional plan, based on my idea, decide on a harmonious scheme to echo the mood, a value pattern to support this, and then I go about the physical application of media to a substrate depending on which I have decided to work in, all media have different approaches and processes in the executional phase.
WHAT IS THE MOST INDISPENSABLE ITEM IN YOUR STUDIO?
DO YOU HAVE ANY STYLING TIPS FOR PEOPLE LOOKING TO USE YOUR PIECE IN THEIR SPACES?
Unite them into your space with floating frames that co-ordinate with your decor and any other wall art.
WHAT CAN READERS LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING FROM YOU?
Many more decades of honest evolution of my three main muses (ocean, Melbourne, figures) with the occasional wild card piece because I always give in to my creative urges.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT SUNDAY?
As it happens, Sunday is my only day off, I like to see movies, meet friends, shop, cook, read, binge watch series, get outside with kids and dogs.
